Is a doctor’s referral required to begin treatment at Absolute Rehabilitation & Wellness?
No, we do not need a doctor’s referral to provide you with an assessment to begin treatment. However, some insurance companies may require a doctor’s referral in order to issue payments for your treatments. Your respected family physician will be updated upon the completion of the assessment, this will ensure they are up to date on your current status and can provide a referral if necessary.
How long are treatments?
Typical treatments are scheduled for 30 minutes. However, some physiotherapy/chiropractic treatments may be 15 or 60 minutes in length. Depending on how advanced an individual’s injuries are we offer one on one 30-minute sessions and 60-minute sessions. Registered massage therapy treatments are offered as 30 or 60-minute sessions.
What should my attire be for treatments?
Please wear comfortable clothing to any of your sessions which correspond with the area of treatment, for eg. treatment of a lower body injury (knee or ankle) would require access to the area, therefore, please wear shorts to allow access to the respected areas.
Is parking available?
Parking is available on site at the front of the building.
How much notice is required to cancel my appointment and is there a fee for cancelling?
24 hours’ notice is required for any appointment changes or cancellations. This will provide appropriate time to accommodate other patients. There is a charge for missed appointments and same day cancellations.
